Consciousness change and practice to help the movement's impact on our planet

Consciousness change and practice to help the movement's impact on our planet

The mission of the Zeitgeist Movement of spreading awareness about a resource-based economy, I feel - and it has been said by other members - is totally connected with an awakening of consciousness happening on our planet. The line of reasoning and critical thinking that leads to advocating a resource-based economy is a part of, and not separate from, the evolution of nature, the patterns of nature, and our species' consciousness in relation to nature. By nature, I mean the universe and its message to us through science.

Tour of Duty: Coming Back Into the Real World Once the War is Won, or Lost

War is a devastating thing. It makes people do silly things. The soldiers who fight for governments generally have a pretty hard time coming back to the normality of life from the brutality of war. PTSD for example, or Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, is one thing to consider.

10 lessons about conflicts in activism

10 lessons about conflicts in activism

After three years sharing this workspace, I've passed through several crises within this movement, which, as with any other group, is formed by people with distortions and a wide range of understandings. Also, as with any other group, it has biases and dysfunctions. I've lived the split of the only two global movements that proposed a solid alternative to our state of things: The Venus Project and The Zeitgeist Movement. I've seen and have participated (by action or idleness) in the desintegration of a chapter with more than 20 activist working as a true coordinated team.

Forget the Class War, How to Win the Fight Against the Elite

Forget the Class War, How to Win the Fight Against the Elite

While we all need to get angry before anything can change, anger will only get us so far. For anger may inspire action, but it won't fix anything.

Recently I've heard calls for a "class war". What strikes me most about this suggestion is the sheer stupidity behind it.

First of all, despite greater numbers, what chance does a mob of working class people have against a heavily armed, well trained military industrial complex?

Spreading the Word Through Consistent Movement Wide Media Programs

As a follow-up to my first blog post (Why We Should Develop a Strategy for Online Activism), I would like to propose an idea that my chapter is currently trying out for the purposes of spreading the word about the topics, ideas, and issues related to a resource-based economy.

We Are Not The 99%; We Are The 100%

We Are Not The 99%; We Are The 100%

It has become an almost mainstream view that it is us, the ninety-nine percent, vs. them, the one percent, and while on the surface that would very much appear to be the case, if we bother to take a closer look at the situation it becomes evident that that is, in fact, not the case.

On Advancing The Zeitgeist Movement

On Advancing The Zeitgeist Movement

A large criticism of The Zeitgeist Movement is one of practicality. This is demonstrated in the general public broadly in two different ways – the first, a criticism of the movement being impossible to implement is an expression of what could be considered learned helplessness.

The First Christmas

The First Christmas

'The First Christmas' campaign is a global project for The Zeitgeist Movement in an attempt to hijack the consumption festival known as ‘Christmas’ via Facebook, and turn it into what it has so far only claimed to be about: Giving to those less fortunate than you.
