It was Halloween and everyone going out to the nightclubs was dressed up. I was at the bus stop and I asked a group of seven people waiting there with me why everyone was dressed up in costumes, and they said it was for Halloween of course.
I replied with, "Hallo-what?" They repeated it with a confused expression on their face.

Often, when engaging the public on the subject of TZM and a post-scarcity society, I am asked a question like "How do we get there?" in the sense of what methods can we use to gain support and move society into a new zeitgeist, or how can we collect the resources necessary to build a new infrastructure?

Hemp. Hemp hemp. Hempitty hempty hemp hemp hemp. HEEEEEEEEEMMMP!!!!!HEMP!!! Hemp.... So I watched a movie online the other day from like 1994 titled "The Hemp Revolution" and when it was over I actually threw up in my mouth a little bit (okay that's a lie )... Ironically, I put this movie on to act as ambient noise while I sat in a chair and recycled old mail which I had never even opened.... This movie is a real think piece.

In addition to the many things that make me who I am, I am also an avid home brewer and beer enthusiast. I love thinking, talking about, brewing, sharing and drinking all sorts of beers. I’m also interested in how and when society might fall. An odd twosome to write about, I admit. But they say that beer helped usher in modern society, so while contemplating the elixir which brought us The Beginning, why not also muse on its role in The End?

The Zeitgeist Movement, with several hundred thousand members worldwide, is one of the most organized and successful grass roots movements on the planet today. Yet the truth is, until membership reaches numbers at least 2,000 times that and until every individual member is committed to and focused on pursuing one simple common goal, there will never be any real hope of effective change.

Having finished watching "Gasland" (on YouTube, not mega upload, thank you very much) an hour ago, I feel really sick to my stomach. I would like to apologize again for working in the oil and gas industry. The last job I had was preparing a refinery to accept natural gas piped in from Marselis, Pennsylvania so that they could convert it (ethane) into ethylene, which they then polymerized (I think) into poly-ethylene, or plastic. This is where it comes from.

I breathed a sigh of relief this afternoon as I realized my first attempt at a blog; "Moving Forward with ‘Moving Forward’ " had been published. Somebody must think I'm on the right track. So now I’d like to expand on some of my ideas and maybe present some new ones...The first one took me a few days to write and I struggled to keep it short and thus readable....

At the risk of sounding like "that guy" and promoting ownership, has anybody else considered just buying some land and starting a small scale "Venus Project"?... Hear me out... If you wanted to build a 10,000-acre city then you'd need 10,000 acres of land, wouldn't you? Easier said than done…
