The Ongoing Zeitgeist/Liberty Movements Debate: A Review

A discussion between Adam Kokesh and Peter Joseph earlier this year has inspired me to shed light on the critical exchange taking place between The Zeitgeist Movement and Liberty Movement. As can be seen in an interview with RT's Abby Martin (watch@22:50), I am not the only one who has noticed an emerging polarity within the greater movement.

A Private Members Bill was introduced to the UK parliament on the 26th of June, 2013 called “the National Service Act 2013”. It states that “Every individual who has attained the age of 18 years, and who has not attained the age of 26 years, shall be liable to serve one year of national service
at some point between these years unless exempt.” Furthermore that “Non-exempt individuals who do not serve one year of national service before the age of 26 years shall be guilty of an offence.”

Coincidentally, in the US, the “Universal National Service Act 2013/14” was introduced to Congress on the 15th of February, 2013, which requires two years of service.

The Insidious MACHINE

The Insidious MACHINE

Last year it was estimated by the United Nations that it would cost approximately 195 billion dollars per year to feed the hungry. Ironically, Forbes published that the top ten richest people of 2012 had accumulated a net worth of over 450 billion dollars between them. The complete list of a record 1,426 billionaires stated their total combined net worth to be 5.4 trillion dollars.

To Vote? Or Not to Vote?

To Vote? Or Not to Vote?

A Resource Based Economy is inevitable.

One way or another, we will end up in an RBE. Technological unemployment, molecular manufacturing and abundant renewable energy will destroy the labor, material and energy costs of production. The price system will lose all relevance in everyday life. A moneyless society will become more and more intuitive to the general public as the years go by. Our job is simply to lubricate the process to ensure a smooth transition.

The times they are a-changing

The times they are a-changing

OCTOBER 16TH 2011 (English translation October 10th 2012 by Josefien Bruijn) - In a world where the laws of the monetary-economic game bring us debt and the artificial necessity of profit, this game leaves us with real or perceived scarcity, harsh social inequality, segregation and ecological breakdown, each of which will have its own disastrous consequences.

Why Voting Matters More Than Ever

Why Voting Matters More Than Ever

Voting is defined as the ability to express one's preference for a candidate or for a proposed resolution of an issue. While the framing of the issues aren't voted on, a candidate for U.S. President is and will be leading our armed forces as well as the direction of our foreign and domestic policy. In less than 90 days, millions of Americans will cast their votes to re-elect either President Barack Obama to a second term, or to shift the socioeconomic trajectory further right with a Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan version of governance.

Political Parties & RBE Transition

Political Parties & RBE Transition

Forming a political party that exemplifies the Zeitgeist Movement's ideals has been a hotly debated topic for as long as the Movement has been around. However, given the apolitical and leaderless nature of the Movement, the global requirements of the Resource Based Economic Model (RBEM), and all of the hurdles and distractions that come along with forming a political party from scratch, it simply doesn't make much strategic sense.

Paradigm Shift 2– The Great Opt Out

Paradigm Shift 2– The Great Opt Out

Well, after writing my first blog “Election 2012 – Shift the Paradigm” on the tzmnetwork and TZM Blog, posting my poll “Who thinks challenging the political structure during this upcoming election is necessary/could be an opportune chance to effect change and engage the planet on a mass scale?”, and reading many other excellent blogs/polls/questions – it is clear many of us are ready to do some things now to effect change and work with others who generally agree with the train of thought.

Our Era's Racism

Our Era's Racism

Last week I heard this piece on public radio titled, "Are Candidates' Spouses Off-limits?", and I just felt so disgusted. Skip ahead to the 40% mark, and you'll hear what I'm referring to.

The conversation turned to the expensive shirt that Ann Romney wore, and how people felt about it.

EU Court of Human Rights grants US Extradition Claims, Ignores Human Rights Act
Ryan Jones – April 11th 2012.

Yesterday the European Human Rights Court in Strasbourg ruled that the USA has the legal right to extradite Abu Hamza and 4 other suspected of terrorism. Upon first glance at this recent breaking news, the casual observer may think ‘well, the terrorists are being brought to justice for their crimes'.
