When I think about the developments of culture, the agents of creation and destruction, I can't help but ponder the fundamental instincts we have to create new technologies and products. The Zeitgeist movement offers lots to say about our motivations to make cheap, convenient and disposable products for the market.

The world as we know it was created by the Industrial Age and it is now crumbling before our very eyes. We grew up in this world listening to common sense: learn well to get into fine universities, to land a well paid, SECURE job with pension, and to live comfortably until you die.

This path might have worked up until a couple of decades ago, but then came the 21st century which erased any remains of job security and the promise of nurturing Companies or the State.

Like all things within the natural world, the monetary system is constantly evolving. As the concept of economic exchange between peoples has evolved, the idea of money has become increasing abstract until today most money is digits in cyberspace representing information. This concept of money as information has always been present, but hidden behind the many forms money has taken down the millennium.
