A Resource Based Economy - the Beginning

A Resource Based Economy - the Beginning

- by Dror Hilman -
In a world of accelerated and unexpected development, we should start to separate from the models that dominated society over the past century, and get ready for a dramatic change. What will the new paradigm look like? It is impossible to predict exactly. But here are some changes borne on the wings of the new technological revolution, signaling to us what the transition period might look like. An era where money and politics are still important, but less so..

From Basic Income to Resource Based Economy

From Basic Income to Resource Based Economy

It has been a while since I saw this video for the first time and since then, I keep thinking about all the implications of such a simple solution. I have examined our banking system, our taxes, some reform proposals, local exchange trading systems (LETS – e.g. RiverHOURS or Fourth Corner Exchange) and came to a conclusion that the real problem is in income-distribution and money-flow.

Good Exists

Good Exists

Everybody agrees that there is too much ‘Bad’ in the world. It’s all over the media. The news seems to be full of bad in one form or another. There are a few happy news reports, but they seem buried under all the muck.

Z Day 2012 London

Z Day 2012 London

A year is a long time and a lot can happen.

Since Z-Day 2011, there has been the 'will they, won't they' of the Greek debt default debacle, Arab Spring uprisings, Bin Laden found and killed (allegedly), a million people marching through London's streets (with several hundred then camping there) with a riot reminiscent of the 1980's, a tsunami in Japan resulting in a nuclear episode, and of course the fallout between The Zeitgeist Movement's founder, Peter Joseph and The Venus Project's Jacque Fresco.

WAKING UP: An open source film about a positive resource based future

Waking Up is an open source movie about a positive future with a resource based economy, an abundant world and updated values and technology. We need more collaborators in writing, promoting and finishing this film.

Waking Up is about a former businessman, who chose cryogenic preservation of himself in 2010, in the hope that humanity once might be able to thaw him up and cure his disease some time in the future. And this is exactly what happens.
