Forget the Class War, How to Win the Fight Against the Elite

Forget the Class War, How to Win the Fight Against the Elite

While we all need to get angry before anything can change, anger will only get us so far. For anger may inspire action, but it won't fix anything.

Recently I've heard calls for a "class war". What strikes me most about this suggestion is the sheer stupidity behind it.

First of all, despite greater numbers, what chance does a mob of working class people have against a heavily armed, well trained military industrial complex?

A Resource Based Economy - the Beginning

A Resource Based Economy - the Beginning

- by Dror Hilman -
In a world of accelerated and unexpected development, we should start to separate from the models that dominated society over the past century, and get ready for a dramatic change. What will the new paradigm look like? It is impossible to predict exactly. But here are some changes borne on the wings of the new technological revolution, signaling to us what the transition period might look like. An era where money and politics are still important, but less so..

Quantum Leap In Transportation!

Quantum Leap In Transportation!

YOUR PARTICIPATION IS REQUIRED! (Please) :)

You're all familiar with this technology from Zeitgeist Addendum! Now you can be a part of making this a reality! We often hear people asking about how the transition will be. Well folks, this is the beginning of that transition. The Internet was really the catalyst for bringing humanity closer to the realization that we are all one. Evacuated Tube Transport will eventually change that virtual community to a tangible way to get to any part of the planet in less than six hours.

How Can We Get There?

How Can We Get There?

Often, when engaging the public on the subject of TZM and a post-scarcity society, I am asked a question like "How do we get there?" in the sense of what methods can we use to gain support and move society into a new zeitgeist, or how can we collect the resources necessary to build a new infrastructure?

Thoughts on the inevitable transition period--and ideas that are threatening it

The financial crisis becoming known as the Great Recession is an interesting one for many reasons. One of its most compelling aspects is the tendency to highlight the absurdity of capitalist systems, or indeed, any monetary system. Things like bureaucracy, law, and money have usurped moral words that once had a great deal of spiritual meaning; words like freedom, liberty, justice, rights, and criminal. Criminals, for instance, are thought of as a very specific group of people who share the common characteristic of somehow betraying their community.

Moving Even More Forward: Addendum (or, how I learned to relax and love the change)

Having finished watching "Gasland" (on YouTube, not mega upload, thank you very much) an hour ago, I feel really sick to my stomach. I would like to apologize again for working in the oil and gas industry. The last job I had was preparing a refinery to accept natural gas piped in from Marselis, Pennsylvania so that they could convert it (ethane) into ethylene, which they then polymerized (I think) into poly-ethylene, or plastic. This is where it comes from.

Moving Even More Forward

Moving Even More Forward

I breathed a sigh of relief this afternoon as I realized my first attempt at a blog; "Moving Forward with ‘Moving Forward’ " had been published. Somebody must think I'm on the right track. So now I’d like to expand on some of my ideas and maybe present some new ones...The first one took me a few days to write and I struggled to keep it short and thus readable....

Zeitgeist and Occupy Wall Street

Zeitgeist and Occupy Wall Street

To All Those in the Zeitgeist Movement,

I write to you as a fellow Zeitgeist member and a member of the Occupy Wall Street Movement. I am here to urge you to join the people who have slept in public parks, taken beatings from the police, provided for the hungry and 99%. There comes a time for us to step up.

Technical Activism

Technical Activism

This document is an attempt at spreading information about views on a development of the Zeitgeist Movement (TZM) to see if it catches interest and grows into action. Of course this is open for anyone to explore and be a part of, but since the suggestions that are brought up here are in the perspective of a transition from a monetary based economic model into a resourced based one – it would be necessary to understand why TZM advocates a resourced based economic model. For more information on that please visit our FAQs.

Welcome To The Transition

Okay, we get it. Most TZM activists understand the tenets. Most TZM activists recognize the root cause and recognize the resulting dysfunction that affects all aspects of life, from resource waste, to poverty, to mental imbalance, and disconnection. We are on board, working to raise awareness, working to reach critical mass. Many people express wanting to focus their energy on more tangible work including but not limited to creating and infrastructure and implementing sustainability practices that would serve as a parallel system or a "transition model" .
