Capitalism acknowledging reality? Only if Al Gore has his way.

A century ago, Henry Ford shocked American industrial culture by raising assembly workers’ wages to an astounding $5/hour.

In doing so, he reduced attrition and absenteeism, as well as expanding the population who could afford his product. In 1916 two brothers, John and Horace Dodge, sued Ford over paltry dividends to shareholders while the company recorded phenomenal profits. Ford lost, then appealed.

The Zeitgeist Movement, with several hundred thousand members worldwide, is one of the most organized and successful grass roots movements on the planet today. Yet the truth is, until membership reaches numbers at least 2,000 times that and until every individual member is committed to and focused on pursuing one simple common goal, there will never be any real hope of effective change.

Questioning Science and Proper Research

Questioning Science and Proper Research

I often have discussions with my fellow Zeitgeist Movement members in which we disagree on the appropriate measure of skepticism to apply to mainstream science. I often agree with mainstream science while my colleagues may not. I am often encouraged to place greater skepticism on mainstream science so as to avoid profit-related bias. I find this argument silly, and in some ways, dishonest and self-defeating.

Moving Even More Forward: Addendum (or, how I learned to relax and love the change)

Having finished watching "Gasland" (on YouTube, not mega upload, thank you very much) an hour ago, I feel really sick to my stomach. I would like to apologize again for working in the oil and gas industry. The last job I had was preparing a refinery to accept natural gas piped in from Marselis, Pennsylvania so that they could convert it (ethane) into ethylene, which they then polymerized (I think) into poly-ethylene, or plastic. This is where it comes from.

It is more than obvious the failure of the economic system which cannot meet the needs of the general population. Nevertheless, we see that often we focus our attention and let loose our anger on individuals, certain behaviors or institutions as the main cause of the problems we face. We talk about corrupt political entities, corporate greed, evil banks etc.

We will have to slowly start questioning whether these in fact constitute the true root causes and are not merely symptoms of a backward and obsolete socioeconomic system.

The Unrelenting Voice

The Unrelenting Voice

In my short time on this planet so far I have had experiences that many for a lifetime search for - moments of clarity and glimpses of my inner self that one can only describe as intense meditation. With these I came to conclude that deep within myself was something destructive. An invading force that did not belong there and it was growing. No solution I had been given by any person or organization in my life made any sense some even made the invading force within me worse. So I began a search, one that would last for many years and would take me to many different places.

PJ's radio show Q & A breakdown

PJ's radio show Q & A breakdown

I have broken down one of PJ's old radio shows into individual mp3s. It took me a long time to break down one episode but I plan on doing more. I have edited some of the questions so that they are more searchable for keywords. Also I have included the text files of the questions, the time stamps and the original full radio show on the upload page. I'll list the questions here as well. If anyone else is working on a searchable database of questions or knows if these shows have been dissected like this already I would be grateful to know. Thanks, hope you enjoy.
