Regarding The Educational Imperative

Regarding The Educational Imperative

It is commonly understood in the Zeitgeist community that education is the means by which we can move into a transitional economy, which will evolve into a transformed society that respects and advances each person’s well being.

The 'Free Will' Concept Deconstructed

The 'Free Will' Concept Deconstructed

In this blog post I’ll be analyzing the concept of ‘free will’.
First of all, I want to demonstrate the meaning of this term and why free will is questionable in the first place. If we look at the dictionary definition of free will, it means:

‘The apparent human ability to make choices that are not externally determined.’

The Greatest Addiction Of All

The Greatest Addiction Of All

Many people believe that capitalism is the way to go. It is the end-all of economic systems. It is ideally designed to give everyone a chance to live happily and successfully… the sky’s the limit!

Our forefathers outlined our “inalienable rights” to “life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness” in the Declaration of Independence, and had our rights and freedoms laid-out as best they could in our Constitution, including the Bill of Rights. The Declaration of Independence also states that “All men are created equal.”

Zeitgeist and Occupy Wall Street

Zeitgeist and Occupy Wall Street

To All Those in the Zeitgeist Movement,

I write to you as a fellow Zeitgeist member and a member of the Occupy Wall Street Movement. I am here to urge you to join the people who have slept in public parks, taken beatings from the police, provided for the hungry and 99%. There comes a time for us to step up.

The Gentle Economic Collapse of the Empire

The Gentle Economic Collapse of the Empire

I've been thinking of Revolution or the fall of the Empire: radical awakening of unity consciousness for years. As early as 1994 I was thinking about the fall of patriarchy and some movement that included all the different causes. But in 2001, the year I was thirty, I started to see a way we could create an economic revolution that was sustainable and dealt with inequality. My vision of what is possible goes something like this:

Technical Activism

Technical Activism

This document is an attempt at spreading information about views on a development of the Zeitgeist Movement (TZM) to see if it catches interest and grows into action. Of course this is open for anyone to explore and be a part of, but since the suggestions that are brought up here are in the perspective of a transition from a monetary based economic model into a resourced based one – it would be necessary to understand why TZM advocates a resourced based economic model. For more information on that please visit our FAQs.

Science for Social Concern: Agricultural Practices

I have written a research paper about this topic. For the sake of simplicity, I'm not going to edit this all this over again on here, but instead share an excerpt and a link to my original full text document.

Beyond Capitalism - Looking To The Future

Beyond Capitalism - Looking To The Future

What's wrong with capitalism?

You will (or should!) already know what capitalism is, so I won't waste your time explaining it. In this part of the post I'm referring to the current corporate-capitalist system that prevails throughout most of the world. To give you a heads up, my criticisms of capitalism are split into three key sections - inequality and poverty perpetuated by capitalism, the instability and un-sustainability of capitalism, and finally what I see as the immorality of capitalism.

Not A Step Further!

Not A Step Further!

The other night after having put my pajamas on, I had to walk to my bed to go to sleep. I am speaking of a well-known to me route of no more than five steps which has never before become a product of any deliberation. All of a sudden and somewhat out of nowhere I caught myself concluding that I couldn’t and didn’t want to take one step further towards the bed, the feeling was bizarre and undeniably laughable. I must further mention that the experience didn’t last longer than approximately a minute.
