Project Earth: the Game - A Concept

The following is a conceptual description of a Project Earth simulation game inspired by the Project Earth segment from the film, Zeitgeist: Moving Forward.

The Player

Upon starting the simulation for the first time, the player is assigned an area of land on which to cultivate a Resource-Based Economic city.

Ecological Footprint Tag on Every Product and Service

Humanity needs to radically cut down its ecological footprint.

To that end, an obvious first step is to audit the ecological aftermath of our designs—-and then display it on every respective product and service, much as a price tag is displayed at the present, coupled with footprint allocation for each adult.

We have based our economic system on money and have been made to think it is essential to our way of life. But it's not really money that we need; It is just the labour of others. This artificial construct of money allows us to be manipulated, and leaves us extremely vulnerable. It's time for us to realise where the real power lies.

Generalizing Grief for the Greater Good

Have you ever been to a funeral or memorial service? The grieving family and friends have their attention divided between holding back their inner sobs and trying to relate to others who are gathered to share their memories. The harmony of quivering voices overlaying a solemn code of conduct gets punctuated by bouts of laughter from the telling of funny anecdotes. I suspect the comical stories are tacitly required so that participants have some sanctioned relief from the somber mood.

Good Exists

Everybody agrees that there is too much ‘Bad’ in the world. It’s all over the media. The news seems to be full of bad in one form or another. There are a few happy news reports, but they seem buried under all the muck.

But good is there, it just needs to be fostered. Our mindset is all wrong. Monetary systems foster and nurture all of our negative behaviors and in many cases amplify them.

Political Parties & RBE Transition

Forming a political party that exemplifies the Zeitgeist Movement's ideals has been a hotly debated topic for as long as the Movement has been around. However, given the apolitical and leaderless nature of the Movement, the global requirements of the Resource Based Economic Model (RBEM), and all of the hurdles and distractions that come along with forming a political party from scratch, it simply doesn't make much strategic sense.
