Dedham Fire Department Tours Shelter, Meets House Guests

April 10, 2018 — Dedham, MA — Today, Dedham- based dog rescue organization, Shultz’s Guest House, had a visit from the Dedham Fire Department, who took the time out of their day to familiarize themselves with the shelter, so that in the unlikely event of an emergency, they would be well prepared to help the four- legged house guests that may be inside the building.

Visits like this are important for local establishments, because they build trust and assuredness that if such emergency services were ever needed, the department would be familiar with who Shultz’s Guest House is, where it is located, and how to facilitate a response during an unpredicted situation.

Prior to this visit, all of the other Dedham Fire Department groups also visited the shelter, ensuring paralleling familiarity. It is hopeful that fire department services will never be needed, but it is peace of mind to know that they exist.
